Meeting Your Needs
Our Approach is Highly Customized & Engaging
Every investor's financial needs and goals are different. We recognize this and serve clients in a highly customized and engaged fashion. Our approach matches your near-term needs, long-term goals and risk tolerance with a strategy that is right for you. This ensures we stay on course to deliver the results you expect.
Meeting Your Needs
We offer personalized portfolio strategies with varying degrees of risk and potential return that are designed to meet the needs of conservative investors, and those with more aggressive goals. Our portfolio managers help define your choices before recommending any course of action. We begin with these three steps:
1. Understanding Your Needs
First, we listen. Understanding your needs, goals and attitude to risk is our starting point. We meet with you to learn about your current circumstances and investment objectives, working with you tax and legal advisors as needed. This is an important first step in establishing a successful relationship.
2. Creating a Strategic Plan
Our personalized recommendations combine the appropriate long-term portfolio asset allocation strategy (the percentage mix of stocks, bonds and alternative investments) with your overall investment objectives while respecting your tolerance for risk. We document this in an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) which we review annually.
3. Implementing Your Strategy
We believe that maintaining your strategic long-term mix in a disciplined fashion is the best way to manage volatility and produce the best long-term returns. Once the appropriate asset mix strategy is formulated, we will generally manage a portfolio within limited bounds around the weights allocated to stocks and bonds. Deviations will not usually exceed 10%.
We rely on superior security selection within the various asset classes to add value, over and above the returns from the markets.
